In a cinematic homage to World Theatre Day, Samahar Natya Gosthee is poised to present its acclaimed production 'Nyay' on March 27 in Guwahati. Staged at Sri Sri Madhavadeva International Auditorium within the renowned Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, the play is the brainchild of eminent dramatist Sitanath Lahkar.

The evening will be graced by Abani Kumar Bhagawati, a respected scholar and former professor at Gauhati University, who will deliver the keynote address. Samahar President Lalit Chandra Sarma reflects on the event's significance, linking it back to the inception of this cultural celebration in 1961 Paris.

'Nyay' addresses grave societal issues such as lynching and rape, offering a poignant narrative about a rape survivor's journey through societal stigma. Having traveled a vibrant path across Assam, Tripura, West Bengal, Goa, and Delhi, this play continues to resonate throughout India's theatrical landscape.
