Corteva Agriscience, alongside the International Finance Corporation and the Sustainable Agriculture Foundation International Association, has inaugurated the Global Agri-Entrepreneurship Academy. This new venture is designed to uplift 500,000 rural entrepreneurs, impacting 100 million farmers spread across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
The Academy addresses crucial issues in smallholder farming such as the gap in access to quality agricultural inputs, technology, and modern farming techniques. It offers tailored training and mentoring aimed at closing service delivery gaps in agriculture.
In a strategic move, founding members signed a memorandum of understanding to standardize their approach towards agri-entrepreneurship development. Backed by the Government of Japan, this non-profit foundation is a step forward in enhancing agricultural value chains and empowering rural communities.
