Police Crackdown: Arrests Made in IGI Airport Heist & Businessman Extortion Case
IGI Airport Police have arrested Monu alias Nikhil Kumar for stealing a shipment of Samsung S-25 Ultra phones at the Delhi airport. Meanwhile, the anti-auto theft squad arrested four, including a gangster's wife, for extorting a businessman. Investigations are ongoing into both incidents.

The IGI Airport Police have apprehended Monu, also known as Nikhil Kumar, a loader with Air India SATS, for allegedly stealing a consignment of premium mobile phones at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. According to authorities, Monu is accused of pilfering a PVC box containing 75 Samsung S-25 Ultra phones that were intended for Indore. He cleverly concealed the stolen items in a neglected airport container, removing them gradually.
Police investigations recovered 36 phones, with efforts ongoing to apprehend other suspects and retrieve the remaining devices. Further inquiries revealed Monu sold several stolen phones for profit. The case investigation was initiated following a complaint filed on February 6, 2025, by Samsung India Electronics' logistics partner.
In another case, Delhi Police arrested four individuals, including Geetu, the spouse of a known gangster Sachin Bhanje, over allegations of extorting a businessman in Dwarka. Geetu is suspected of playing a pivotal role in the crime, which involved threats at gunpoint. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ankit Singh, confirmed all suspects are under interrogation.
