Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha Member and National President of the BJP OBC Morcha, K Laxman, has launched a scathing attack on the Telangana government's policy of including 90% of Muslims under the OBC category. Laxman claims this move undermines OBC rights and serves vote bank politics.

Laxman expressed concerns following Congress's rise to power in Telangana. He recalled Rahul Gandhi's statement during the Telangana caste census about its national implications, but criticized the current administration for altering OBC demographics to suit political agendas.

Laxman's criticism comes amid broader discussions about reservation policies. Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar proposed a 4% reservation for Muslims, potentially requiring constitutional amendments. Congress leader Udit Raj advocates for judicial reservations to reduce bias and diversify caste representation, addressing perceived imbalance and bias in the judicial system.
