In the historical city of Ayodhya, stringent security measures have been implemented as excitement mounts for the forthcoming Ram Navami festival. This move ensures the safety and fluidity of activities during the widely celebrated Ram Utsav, which marks Lord Ram's birth anniversary.
Praveen Kumar, the Inspector General of Ayodhya division, elaborated on the arrangements made ahead of the festival. "The Parikrama begins on Chaitra Ram Navami and brings in massive crowds of devotees," Kumar stated. Pilgrims often visit key religious sites like the Devkali temples and Kamakhya Dham during Navratri, necessitating robust crowd management strategies. Particular attention has been given to handling the influx at the Saryu River and other nearby religious locations.
To mitigate expected congestion, authorities have devised traffic route diversions to maintain smooth travel. Contingency plans are also in place to implement additional diversions should crowds swell. Live screenings and social media broadcasts of the celebrations have also been arranged, ensuring people worldwide can participate in the event. The collaboration among locals, district officials, and authorities underscores a unified commitment to facilitating a joyous festival experience for all.
