An elderly woman in Chennai has accused a group of twenty individuals of invading her home and verbally assaulting her on Monday morning. The 68-year-old victim, identified as Kamala, filed a complaint at the G-3 Kilpauk Police Station, demanding swift action against the perpetrators, according to a press release from the Director General of Police's office.
Her son, Suvukku Shankar, a notable YouTuber, publicly criticized the Greater Chennai Police and its Commissioner over their handling of the situation. He questioned the police's timely response, which led the Commissioner to request an external investigation by transferring the case to another agency.
In response, the original case registered under C.S.R. No.118/2025 at the G-3 Kilpauk Police Station has been transferred to the Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CBCID) to ensure a thorough inquiry, as confirmed by official sources.
