Andhra Pradesh Innovates: AI and Data Integration Lead Governance Overhaul

The Andhra Pradesh government is accelerating its data integration and AI-driven governance initiatives. Chief Secretary K Vijayanand urges swift completion of the data lake project and expansion of WhatsApp Governance. The state is also establishing an advanced weather forecasting center to provide real-time updates to citizens.

In a bid to revolutionize governance in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Secretary K Vijayanand has instructed officials to fast-track the data integration at the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS). During a review session, Vijayanand emphasized the vital role of swiftly completing the data lake initiative to enhance governance efficiency.

Aligning with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's vision for improved public services, the Chief Secretary reviewed the state's WhatsApp Governance progress with satisfaction, noting its ability to deliver over 200 government services. Efforts are being made to further democratize access to these services, encouraging widespread utilization among residents.

Emphasizing technological advancement, Vijayanand highlighted the necessity of incorporating voice-based AI systems. This would enable citizens to navigate services through voice commands, revolutionizing ease of access. Updates on WhatsApp Governance's integration of AI features indicate an imminent launch, greatly enhancing user interaction capabilities.

The rapid progression of data integration across government departments has led to the appointment of Chief Data Technical Officers (CDTOs) to oversee operations. Most departments are already linked to the data lake, with full integration anticipated shortly. Additionally, the imminent launch of the Andhra Pradesh Weather Forecasting and Early Warning Research Center (AWARE) promises accurate, real-time weather updates for citizens and farmers.

Key officials, including GAD Political Principal Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena, were present at the review meeting, underscoring the collaborative efforts in this transformative governance journey. (ANI)
