The Iranian oil ministry has refuted allegations made by Iraq's oil minister regarding the seizure of Iranian oil tankers by the United States. These reports, broadcasted by the ministry's news agency SHANA, were dismissed on Monday.
According to Iraq's oil minister Hayan Abdel-Ghani, the Iranian tankers, allegedly confiscated by U.S. forces in the Gulf, were accused of using fraudulent Iraqi documentation.
This development signifies escalating tensions between Iran and the United States over maritime issues in the Gulf region.
