Sustainable infrastructure giant Actis announced its acquisition of Stride Climate Investments, marking a 100% stake takeover in the India-based firm.

This acquisition incorporates Stride's impressive portfolio of operating solar PV assets, which encompasses 371 megawatts spread over 21 projects across seven states, predominantly in Gujarat.

Highlighting its commitment to growth in renewable energy, Actis has previously invested over USD 7.1 billion in Asia, establishing itself as a leader with more than 8 gigawatts of installed capacity, including 5.5 gigawatts in renewables.

Stride follows BluPine Energy and Athena Renewables as the third energy platform acquired by Actis in India, further cementing its standing in the sector.

Adrian Mucalov, Partner and Head of Long Life Infrastructure at Actis, stressed the alignment of Stride's acquisition with Actis's investment ambitions, noting the firm's robust market presence and low leverage.
