Uttarakhand Shines with SDG Achiever Awards and Innovations

In a ceremony filled with accolades and innovations, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored three individuals, nine institutions, and four industrial establishments with the prestigious SDG Achiever Award at Mukhya Sevak Sadan in Dehradun. The event also marked the release of 'Agragami 2.0,' a book showcasing ongoing innovative initiatives.
The CPPGG's district-wise SDG ranking for 2023-24 placed Nainital district at the top, followed by Dehradun and Uttarkashi. The Chief Development Officers of these districts received commendation from the Chief Minister. Dhami praised the awardees for their pioneering work in various sectors, reinforcing their role as the real brand ambassadors for the state's growth.
This recognition caps a series of achievements for Uttarakhand, which rose from 9th to 1st in the national SDG India Index over three years. Remarkable advances have been noted in areas like poverty alleviation, clean energy, urban development, and financial inclusion. The state is striving to bolster these sectors through strategic plans like the Chief Minister Women Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme and the Solar Energy Revolution.
