Sikkim Government Boosts Dearness Allowance and Relief for Employees and Pensioners
The Sikkim government has announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for state employees and pensioners. The DA for those with revised pay structures will rise from 50% to 53%, while the pre-revised structure will see an increase from 239% to 246%, effective July 2024.

The Sikkim government has taken a noteworthy step by announcing an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) set to benefit state employees and pensioners alike.
Effective July 1, 2024, employees and pensioners on the revised basic pay structure will see their DA rising from the existing 50 percent to 53 percent.
Meanwhile, those drawing pay under the pre-revised structure will receive a boost in DR from 239 percent to 246 percent, as per the circular released by the Finance Department on March 21.
