In an escalating political controversy, Congress Rajya Sabha MP condemned the vandalism by Shiv Sena's youth faction in response to comedian Kunal Kamra's controversial comments on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, describing the act as 'hooliganism' and an indicator of 'fascism and dictatorship.'

The backlash followed Shiv Sena workers storming a Mumbai venue associated with Kamra's show. They allegedly vandalized the site, prompting police action and FIRs against key figures in the faction, including General Secretary Rahool Kanal.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis censured Kamra, asserting freedom of speech does not excuse defamatory remarks. He demanded an apology from Kamra, who faces an FIR for his actions, as political tensions spill over in Mumbai.
