Uttar Pradesh has transformed into the growth engine of India's economy, claimed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during a program celebrating his eight years in office. The CM highlighted the state's progress from its former BIMARU status, a term previously used to describe economically lagging states.
Highlighting the agricultural sector, CM Adityanath criticized past neglect and outlined the initiatives taken post-2017. He emphasized, "The agriculture sector was previously overlooked despite its potential. Since 2017, we've harnessed technology for growth, reversing the trend of farmer suicides and reviving welfare schemes stalled for decades."
The Chief Minister pointed to improvements in law and order as a significant achievement. "Before 2017, frequent riots endangered citizens, especially women and traders. Now, UP exemplifies strong governance, with events like Prayagraj's Mahakumbh conducted seamlessly," he stated. Adityanath also noted increased police recruitment and CCTV installation as key measures enhancing safety.
