Commemorating 'Krishak Divas' on March 14, Banerjee paid homage to the resilience of Bengal's farmers, particularly remembering the 14 who died in the 2007 anti-land acquisition movement in Nandigram. Through her post on X, she praised the relentless efforts of farmers and outlined her support through financial schemes and fair pricing policies.
Highlighting key measures such as the Krishakbandhu scheme, free agricultural machinery, and the Bengal Crop Insurance Project, launched in 2019, Banerjee assured continued governmental support to aid farmers in West Bengal.
