In a significant breakthrough, Madhya Pradesh police arrested individuals allegedly responsible for driving a police officer to commit suicide through blackmail. The case unfolded a week ago when Arvindra Kujur, the officer in-charge of Chhatarpur's City Kotwali police station, tragically ended his life under duress from alleged extortionists.
Investigations into the March 6 incident revealed that Kujur had been ensnared in a deceitful love affair with a woman, Aashi Raja Parmar, and her accomplice, Sonu Raja. The duo reportedly exploited the officer, extorting him for valuables and threatening to falsely implicate him in a rape case.
After recording statements from the officer's family and deploying forensic experts to the scene, law enforcement identified the culprits who orchestrated the blackmail. The accused now face charges under sections 108, 308 (6), 308 (7), and 3 (5) of Bharatiya Nyay Sahita. Officials have vowed to seek further police remand for in-depth interrogation to ensure justice is served.
