As Darbhanga gears up for Holi celebrations on March 14, a statement from the city's Mayor, Anjum Ara, seeks to balance festivities with the upcoming Ramzan Friday prayers. The mayor has appealed to citizens to pause Holi activities between 12:30 and 2:00 PM to respect the prayer timings.
Highlighting past harmonious celebrations, Ara urged Holi participants to maintain a respectful distance from mosques during this period. The district administration's advisory followed a peace committee meeting, focusing on ensuring communal harmony during the overlapping celebrations.
