In a groundbreaking move towards sustainability, Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL) on Tuesday announced an investment of Rs 700 crore in decarbonisation initiatives as part of its ambitious plan to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
Over the next five years, JSL is set to embark on various environment-friendly ventures, including the deployment of renewable energy sources, adoption of green hydrogen, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and carbon capture technologies, as confirmed in the company's statement.
The company also introduced a task force focused on nature-related financial disclosure (TNFD), aiming to pinpoint and mitigate risks while driving business resilience and environmental stewardship.
