Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday called for immediate actions to ensure better pricing for the rabi produce. He urged ministry officials to accelerate the formation of a Makhana Board in Bihar, as outlined in the Union Budget 2025-26.

While attending a virtual review meeting from Bhopal, he assessed the Kharif crops, future weather forecasts, and current price trends. Chouhan emphasized taking farmer suggestions for the board.

As per an official statement, the budget announced a Rs 100 crore investment in the Makhana Board. Additionally, the minister reviewed kharif crop sowing progress, which has increased significantly in the current crop year.
