EDF India and NTPC Limited, a Maharatna company in India, have entered into an agreement to advance India's renewable energy sector. The non-binding term sheet signed at Elecrama 2025 marks their collaboration in developing pumped storage projects integrated with renewable energy solutions.
This partnership aims to establish a joint venture company with equal stakes, pending government approval. The proposed entity will spearhead projects, potentially creating joint ventures and subsidiaries to execute these initiatives within India.
With a focus on leveraging expertise and resources, both NTPC and EDF India are set to enhance the country's renewable landscape. Their contributions aim at innovation, environmental sustainability, and reducing carbon footprints through tailored offers and advanced electrical systems.
