BJP State President Dilip Saikia has urged party workers to promote the upcoming 'Advantage Assam 2.0' initiative actively, highlighting its potential to usher in substantial economic development. The event aspires to attract investments surpassing Rs 2 lakh crore, significantly boosting Assam's economic landscape.
'Advantage Assam 2.0,' spearheaded by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, represents a major development opportunity for the state, according to a release quoting Saikia. He emphasized the crucial role of BJP members in spreading this message across Assam during a meeting with the state BJP's Media Department and other cells.
Boasting expected investments beyond Rs 2 lakh crore, the event will host top national and international business entities. Scheduled for February 25-26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it, while also overseeing the 'Jhumoir Nandini' programme's debut on February 24, featuring 10,000 Jhumur artists.
In a gathering at the State BJP Headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, Saikia encouraged all departments to diligently promote 'Advantage Assam 2.0' among the public. Notables like State General Secretaries, Pallab Lochan Das, Diplu Ranjan Sarmah, and Pulak Gohain, with State Chief Spokesperson Manoj Baruah, attended the meeting.
