The Border Security Force (BSF) troops have achieved notable successes in countering illegal drone activities originating from Pakistan. In two distinct operations, the BSF intercepted one drone carrying heroin and neutralized another attempting to breach the border.

In the first operation, a packet of heroin weighing 512 grams was recovered in Village Bhagatana, District Gurdaspur, after being dropped by a Pakistani drone. The BSF's vigilant troops successfully intercepted this consignment, underlining their commitment to preventing smuggling activities.

The second operation involved the interception and neutralization of a Pakistan-origin drone, identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic. BSF officials have reiterated that these operations highlight their relentless pursuit of border security and pledge to keep the nation safe from cross-border threats.

Earlier, BSF personnel stationed at the frontlines reassured citizens of their safety through a message shared via ANI. The personnel extended New Year greetings to the nation, emphasizing the BSF's dedication to safeguarding the borders and treating the nation as their family.

The BSF has also increased vigilance along the international border, especially in light of terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir believed to be supported by elements in Pakistan. This heightened security is deemed essential to protecting the nation on New Year's Eve.
