Newly appointed Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar made a significant public appearance by offering prayers at the renowned Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in the state capital. The visit was a family affair, as visual documentation captured Arlekar and his kin in the sacred space.

The temple visit occurred shortly after Arlekar was formally sworn in as the Governor of Kerala. The solemn oath-taking ceremony was officiated by the Kerala High Court Chief Justice, Nitin Madhukar Jamdar, at the Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram.

In a statement made prior to his ceremonial induction, Arlekar underscored his commitment to a harmonious relationship with the state administration, promising to aid, rather than direct, governmental efforts. His arrival was warmly received by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who lauded the cooperation between the state and the new governor.

Vijayan's enthusiastic welcome was echoed in his social media outreach, where he expressed optimism for a collaborative future with the governor. The event at the airport was marked by the presence of prominent politicians and officials, including Congress member Shashi Tharoor and West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose.

Rajendra Arlekar's tenure as the governor of Bihar preceded his current appointment by President Droupadi Murmu, who has replaced Bihar's governorship with Arif Mohammad Khan. Khan, the outgoing governor of Kerala, spoke fondly of his tenure, citing a peaceful and productive term.
