The electoral tension between AAP and BJP intensifies in Delhi's ongoing election campaign, as both parties exchange allegations and counterclaims.

Arvind Kejriwal, former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader, accused BJP of conspiring to demolish temples, igniting public outrage. In a controversial social media post, Kejriwal highlighted BJP's contradiction in opposing payments to priests while allegedly planning temple demolitions.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi joined the fray, denouncing BJP's actions and questioning the transfer of the 'Religious Committee' to the Lieutenant Governor's control. She urged the central BJP government to reconsider its stance on religious structures, citing people's deep emotional ties and warned against disrupting their faith.

The controversy erupted further when BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi launched an offensive against Kejriwal and AAP, pointing out ten cases of unmet promises, from women's safety to clean water initiatives. Trivedi criticized AAP for not living up to its claims of new political integrity, asserting that BJP, under Modi, has restored credibility in Indian politics.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal accused Kejriwal of using religious payments as a political tactic, alleging financial mismanagement and questioning the empty state of Delhi's treasury.

As Delhi anticipates its assembly election dates, the discourse around religious structures and political accountability remains at the forefront, with both parties vying for voter trust.
