A three-year-old girl, identified as Chetna, has died after a harrowing fall into a 150-foot-deep borewell in Rajasthan's Kotputli-Behror district. The incident sparked a 10-day-long rescue operation to save the young girl.

Upon her retrieval from the borewell on Wednesday, Chetna was found in an unconscious state and rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors later declared her dead, confirming the worst fears surrounding the incident.

Yogesh Meena, the NDRF team in-charge, said there was no movement in Chetna's body when she was extracted. The rescue mission, though valiant, ended in tragedy, underscoring the dangers of uncovered borewells in rural India.
