President Droupadi Murmu offered her heartfelt New Year wishes to Indians worldwide as the nation prepares to welcome 2025. In her message, she emphasized embracing the New Year with joy and using the occasion to advance unity and excellence across the nation.

As Delhi anticipates vibrant New Year celebrations, the police have implemented robust security measures across the capital. Key areas like Hauz Khas and Connaught Place are forecasted to draw significant crowds. DCP South West Surendra Chaudhary highlighted the collaboration with traffic police, deploying a facial recognition system to identify individuals with criminal records.

Over 60 cameras have been installed to monitor activities, while senior police officials will be actively present. Police checkpoints are equipped with breath analyzers to curb drunk driving, supported by 14 Quick Reaction Teams and 16 PCR vans for rapid response. Authorities urge residents to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities to enhance safety.
