As Hyderabad gears up for New Year's Eve festivities, the city is implementing rigorous security measures. Additional Commissioner of Police-Traffic, P Viswa Prasad, announced a detailed plan on Tuesday, highlighting the deployment of 63 checkpoints, augmented by 8-10 officers and 3-4 alcometers at each location.
Moreover, an increased police presence will be seen across 172 critical points in the city to manage traffic flow effectively. Police Commissioner of Hyderabad has issued directives to restaurants and pubs to arrange parking facilities to prevent intoxicated patrons from driving.
The Hyderabad Metro Rail is extending its service hours, with the last train departing at 12:30 am from terminal stations to ensure passenger convenience and security. This extension aims to provide a safe travel option as citizens welcome 2025 with hopes and new resolutions.
