Amid the anticipation of Maha Kumbh 2025, Mahakumbhnagar's Central Hospital has commenced delivering essential healthcare services. The hospital celebrated a landmark event on Monday with the birth of 'Ganga,' the first female infant born during this festive period, underlining the commencement of festivities.

A specialized team of doctors, led by Dr. Gaurav Dubey, facilitated the delivery, showcasing their medical prowess with two successive successful deliveries. On Sunday, the team oversaw the birth of a baby boy named 'Kumbh,' marking the initial birth event of the Maha Kumbh season.

Expectant parents Shivkumari and Rajel from Banda district considered their daughter's birth a divine blessing, choosing to name her 'Ganga.' Both the newborn and her mother are in healthy condition, providing a testament to the hospital's readiness as it gears up for the flood of pilgrims anticipated during the Maha Kumbh festivities.

Previously, the hospital recorded the birth of a healthy boy delivered by a young mother, Sonam from Kaushambi, on Sunday. Supported by her husband, Raja, Sonam received immediate medical attention following severe labor pains. Under Dr. Dubey's leadership, the hospital team successfully managed her delivery, further establishing the hospital's capability to handle the burgeoning demand for medical services.

The state government, led by Yogi Adityanath, has invested in extensive health facilities, with the Central Hospital playing a pivotal role. Located in the Parade area of the Mela grounds, this 100-bed facility is equipped with comprehensive medical amenities, including general wards, a delivery center, and ICU services, ensuring preparedness for the massive influx of visitors.
