BCL Industries Embarks on Major Bio-Energy Expansion in India

In a significant move towards enhancing India's green energy landscape, BCL Industries announced on Wednesday its plans to invest Rs 150 crore in a bio-energy plant in West Bengal. The company has secured environmental clearance for this 75 KLPD facility, slated for Kharagpur.
This development comes as BCL Industries pushes forward with another 75 KLPD bio-energy project in Bathinda, Punjab. Both initiatives underscore the company's commitment to cultivating biofuels, with completion expected within 18-24 months, BCL Industries confirmed.
Championing renewable energy, BCL Industries is also investing Rs 350 crore in Haryana to establish a biogas plant and a distillery with a 20 MTPD capacity. The company aims to advance ethanol production as a sustainable fuel source blended with petrol to reduce carbon emissions.
