The Ferozepur police have seized a considerable cache of illegal weapons, including 11 pistols and 21 magazines, in a decisive operation against arms trafficking. This major seizure occurred on Thursday, with the suspects managing to flee upon being intercepted. However, according to DGP Punjab Police Gaurav Yadav, police teams are employing local intelligence to track the suspects.

Details emerged as the DGP took to social media platform X, stating that police had intercepted two individuals carrying the illicit weapons. Although the suspects abandoned their motorcycle and fled, quick coordination by law enforcement led to promising leads. Police investigation further traced the motorcycle to Faridkot, identifying the primary suspect with ongoing efforts to close in on these individuals using advanced tracking techniques.

In another operation, the Punjab police, through a collaborative effort of the State Special Operation Cell of Mohali, Anti-Gangster Task Force, and Faridkot Police, arrested two operatives of Canada-based terrorist Arsh Dalla. They were involved in the murder of Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau in Faridkot and are also linked to the shooting of Jasawant Singh Gill in Madhya Pradesh. The Director General of Police has reiterated their commitment to tackling organized crime and illegal arms networks to ensure public safety.
