In a swift move, Mumbai's Bandra police apprehended Faizan Khan in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, in connection with a threat made against Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. Armed with a three-day transit remand until November 15, authorities plan to transport Khan to Mumbai to advance their investigations.

Earlier, a charge of assault was filed against Khan after Mumbai police received a menacing call at Bandra station last week, demanding Rs 50 lakh from Shah Rukh Khan. In response, a team was dispatched to Raipur for further inquiry, although specifics about the suspect have yet to be revealed.

This threat aligns with a recent series involving Shah Rukh Khan's peer, Salman Khan, reportedly targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. On October 24, Mumbai Police detained a man in Jamshedpur linked to threats and a substantial ransom demand involving Salman Khan.

Amid these escalating threats, both stars have been enveloped in heightened security. Salman Khan, in particular, was accorded Y+ security following an April 14 shooting incident outside his Galaxy Apartments residence, tied to the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate.

Investigation into this attack revealed a connection to Anmol Bishnoi, the gangster's brother. He allegedly orchestrated the acquisition of firearms in March 2024, enabling the assault on Salman Khan. Notably, the attackers were financially compensated with Rs 3 lakh.

Tensions escalated further in October, when politician Baba Siddique was fatally targeted in a shooting outside his son's office in Bandra on October 12, an act claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, exacerbating an atmosphere of fear among celebrity circles.
