At least 10 individuals sustained injuries after a massive explosion erupted at the Indian Oil Corporation refinery situated on the Agra-Delhi National Highway on Tuesday, according to police sources.
Eyewitnesses recounted hearing a loud blast before witnessing towering flames at the Mathura facility, visible from kilometers away, engulfing the refinery.
Sources revealed the explosion occurred around 8:30 p.m. while workers were restarting the main plant after a prolonged shutdown, leaving 10 to 12 employees injured, four critically. These critically injured individuals were transferred to a private hospital following initial treatment at the refinery's medical facility.
