In a move aimed at fostering communal unity and peace, 'Himachal Pradesh Peace and Harmony' has been established in Shimla. This new organization unites a wide array of community representatives, such as former municipal leaders, religious figures, and business leaders, bringing together members from both Hindu and Muslim communities.

Amid recent attempts to disturb communal harmony, the collective intends to uphold ideals of peace and brotherhood for which the state is famed. Leaders such as former CPIM MLA Rakesh Singha and Mufti Mohammad Qasmi, the priest of Shimla's Jama Masjid, participated in the founding meeting, highlighting the critical need for peacekeeping efforts.

The forum, led by Kuldeep Singh Tanwar, aims to involve farmers, employees, and businessmen, working collaboratively with the government. As former MLA Singha reassured, 'everything is normal,' with efforts well-received statewide. With aspirations to sustain communal harmony, Deputy Mayor Tikendra Singh Pawar emphasized the necessity for a permanent platform.
