Haryana's Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana assured the public on Monday about the availability of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) fertiliser amid claims from opposition parties about shortages. Rana emphasized that the state government remains committed to ensuring adequate supply, dismissing allegations from Congress leaders of a deficit.
He stated that Haryana has 23,748 tonnes of DAP in stock, with another 9,519 tonnes expected by November 15. Rana assured farmers that no land would remain unsown due to lack of fertiliser. He urged opposition leaders not to spread what he called "misleading statements."
In response to opposition critiques, the Agriculture Department highlighted its record showing Haryana's DAP stock aligns with demand, mirroring previous consumption levels. Rana claimed the BJP government is fully dedicated to supporting farmers, ensuring timely procurement and disbursement for farmers' produce.
