Thousands of enthusiastic youths crowded Ganthmulla, Baramulla, early Monday morning for an Army recruitment rally in Jammu and Kashmir, officials reported. The rally has returned to the region for the first time since 2019.
Aspirants expressed varying motivations for attending; some wish to serve their country, while others are pursuing stable employment. "We are thankful to the Army for conducting this recruitment rally here," said Malik Nasir, who aims to join the Army for national service.
The week-long process, covering districts like Baramulla, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Budgam, and Bandipora, includes screenings and tests. The event highlights both the appeal of military careers and the unemployment challenges for educated youth in the region.
