Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav toured the long-shuttered JC Mill on Monday, seeking a comprehensive understanding of its status. Addressing media outlet ANI, CM Yadav confirmed the state's vested interest in the mill, prioritizing decisions that favor the labourers involved.
The Chief Minister underscored a government agenda focused on employee welfare across state mills. "Our administration aims to support every societal segment, particularly the disadvantaged and labor sectors," he noted, reiterating the decision concerning JC Mill favored worker rights.
He acknowledged the historic nature of the JC Mill project while reinforcing a commitment to sustaining hope among the workforce. "The government's stance aligns with aiding labourers, maintaining faith and optimism for a resolution," the CM declared.
CM Yadav pledged personal oversight on the matter, with plans to advocate for fair resolution strategies in High Court proceedings. "I am directly engaged to propose an equitable settlement respecting all parties," he asserted.
In a noteworthy administrative move within two weeks of office, he resolved a dispute at Hukumchand Mill, Indore, benefiting 5,000 workers. The state secured a settlement pact approved by courts, unions, and involved stakeholders, marking a significant governence milestone.
