Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday emphasized the significant contributions of saints and sages throughout history in guiding humanity towards realizing its purpose during the 200th-anniversary celebrations of the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Vadtal, Gujarat. Speaking via video conference, PM Modi stated, "Every person's life has a purpose that defines it. Discovering this purpose changes everything."
PM Modi underscored the celebration as evidence of the enduring flow of Indian culture, remarking on the spiritual significance of Vadtal Dham, established by Lord Swami Narayan. He announced the issuance of a ₹200 silver coin and a commemorative stamp by the Government of India to mark this historic occasion.
The Prime Minister highlighted the resilience of Indian spirituality, noting that new spiritual leaders have emerged to guide the nation in challenging times. He pointed to the Swaminarayan Mandir's pivotal role in promoting social welfare and environmental causes, including the planting of over 100,000 trees in response to his "Ek Ped Maa ke Naam" campaign.
