With the crucial polling day in Maharashtra nearing, the Mahayuti alliance has intensified its election campaign. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Union Minister Piyush Goyal lead separate high-profile roadshows to drum up support. Shinde took to the streets of Thane, while Goyal was in Magathane, Mumbai, backing incumbent candidate Prakash Surve.
Surve, vying for a third term, competes against Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Udesh Patekar and MNS's Nayan Kadam. Earlier, the BJP unveiled a manifesto, promising 25 commitments designed to secure voter support. Highlights include monthly financial aid for women and improved farmer welfare.
At a rally in Buldhana, BJP's Amit Shah lambasted the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for alleged failure to fulfill past promises, branding their guarantees as deceitful. As Maharashtra's November 20 elections approach, the competition between Mahayuti and MVA escalates across the state's 288 Assembly seats.
