Tributes Pour in for Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, Killed in J&K Encounter

Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has paid homage to Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, an Army jawan who was killed in a clash with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district. Singh shared a poignant message on X, honoring the deceased soldier and extended prayers for the injured.
The fallen Naib Subedar, a member of 2 Para (SF), was part of a counter-insurgency operation in the Bhart Ridge area on November 9, 2024. The General Officer Commanding of the White Knight Corps commended Kumar's sacrifice, extending condolences to his family in this time of loss.
In related developments, authorities reported that a gunfight with terrorists continues in Kishtwar's Keshwan area, where security forces are engaging with the group believed responsible for civilian casualties.
