In a highly coordinated operation, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and the Mumbai Crime Branch arrested several individuals linked to the high-profile murder case of Baba Siddique. The arrests took place in Nanpara, Bahraich, and notably included the main suspect Shiva Kumar, who was detained while allegedly attempting to flee to Nepal. All accused have been transported to Mumbai for further investigation.

The joint team of enforcement officers, comprising 6 officers and 15 personnel, also apprehended four individuals believed to have aided Shiva Kumar's escape. Those arrested alongside Kumar were identified as Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava, and Akhileshendra Pratap Singh. These individuals are suspected of providing shelter and facilitating Kumar's attempts to cross the border.

Investigations reveal a broader criminal network with ties to Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster currently imprisoned. The perpetrators reportedly confessed to executing the murder on Bishnoi's orders, receiving critical logistical support from associates, including Shubham Lonkar and Mohammad Yaseen Akhtar. Kumar's statements also implicate Bishnoi's younger brother, Anmol, in planning the crime through social media interactions and promises of financial rewards.
