In a significant move ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra state Assembly elections, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, led by the Congress party, has unveiled its comprehensive manifesto. Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole emphasized the manifesto's commitment to ensuring justice and development for every segment of society, highlighting a vision of a corruption-free and efficient state.
The manifesto, launched by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, outlines extensive focus areas such as agriculture, youth welfare, inflation control, and poverty alleviation. Remarkable promises include a monthly financial aid of Rs 3,000 to women under the Mahalakshmi scheme, and a Rs 50,000 reward for farmers repaying loans on time, aiming to boost financial independence and economic stability across rural and urban regions.
Kharge elaborated on the five fundamental pillars supporting Maharashtra's anticipated progress: farming and rural development, industrial growth, urban renewal, environmental preservation, and public welfare. Prominent initiatives involve a free bus service for women, a youth stipend, and a health insurance scheme modeled after initiatives in Rajasthan. As political tensions rise between the MVA and the rival Mahayuti alliance, voters brace for a decisive election battle slated for November.
