Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday engaged in extensive discussions with young civil servants about enhancing governance through the spirit of 'Jan Bhagidari' or people's participation. He emphasized the need for these officers to improve the 'Ease of Living' for citizens while addressing the Officer Trainees of the 99th Common Foundation Course, named Aarambh 6.0, at Ekta Nagar near the Statue of Unity in Gujarat's Narmada district.
The event themed 'Roadmap for Atma Nirbhar and Viksit Bharat' featured 653 Officer Trainees from 16 civil services of India and three from Bhutan. PM Modi, in a post on social media platform X, highlighted the need for strong feedback mechanisms and improved grievance redressal systems to improve governance efficiency.
On the eve of Diwali and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, the Prime Minister unveiled development projects worth over Rs 284 crore at Ekta Nagar to enhance tourism, accessibility, and sustainability. These projects aim to elevate the area's global reputation and offer state-of-the-art visitor facilities. Modi will also attend the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, showcasing parades, including contingents from various states, and a 'Surya Kiran' flypast by the Indian Air Force.
