PM Modi Unveils ₹12,850 Crore Healthcare Projects on Ayurveda Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 9th Ayurveda Day by unveiling a series of substantial healthcare initiatives at the All India Institute of Ayurveda. Worth approximately ₹12,850 crore, these projects aim to enhance the country's health infrastructure and expand access to medical services for senior citizens and the broader population.
In a bid to fortify healthcare access, Modi inaugurated several new medical institutions, including the expansion of the Ayushman Bharat scheme to cover all senior citizens over 70. The initiative was highlighted by the launch of Phase II of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, featuring an array of new facilities such as a Panchakarma hospital and an Ayurvedic pharmacy.
Further expanding healthcare reach, Modi initiated technological advances through drone services at key healthcare institutions and launched the U-WIN portal to digitize vaccination processes. The nationwide 'Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan' campaign was also introduced to boost health awareness, alongside state-specific action plans targeting climate-resilient healthcare services.
