Uttarakhand CM Leads 'Run for Unity' Celebrating Sardar Patel's Legacy

In a vibrant tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami joined the Open Run for Unity Cross Country race, held at Dehradun's Pavilion Ground. The initiative marked the birth anniversary of Patel, celebrated for his pivotal role in unifying India.

Addressing participants, Chief Minister Dhami highlighted the significance of the 'Run for Unity,' organized annually on October 31 but advanced this year to October 29 due to Diwali. PM Narendra Modi had announced the date change in his 'Mann Ki Baat' address. The CM emphasized Patel's unwavering dedication that realized the vision of Akhand Bharat.

Dhami reflected on Patel's diplomatic acumen as the nation's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, which profoundly shaped modern India. He lauded Patel's integration of 560 princely states and reiterated that the race embodies more than competition—it's a testament to the enduring spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.'
