The Chief Priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Acharya Satyendra Maharaj, addressed the date confusion regarding Diwali celebrations in an announcement made on Tuesday. He clarified that Choti Diwali would be observed on October 30, followed by Badi Diwali on October 31, set within the Ram Leela court.

Acharya Satyendra Maharaj elaborated on the ritualistic ceremonies traditionally associated with the festival, mentioning that while earlier, Choti Diwali, Diwali, and Annakoot were celebrated collectively, rituals have evolved over time. He conveyed heartfelt Diwali wishes, expressing hopes for prosperity and the eradication of societal evils.

Reiterating the age-old practices of Dhanteras, Maharaj emphasized worshipping Lord Ganesha and Laxmi as a custom that continues to flourish. Citizens across India are observing Dhanteras with enthusiasm, encouraged by the belief that acquiring new possessions could bring fortune. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings, highlighting the festival's themes of health, happiness, and prosperity.
