A devastating fireworks accident injured 154 individuals at the Veerarkavu Temple in Kasargod, Kerala, during a Theyyam festival, MP Rajmohan Unnithan revealed on Tuesday. The incident shocked the community as injuries occurred late Monday night during festivities, leading to hospitalisations across the district.

Eyewitnesses reported the explosion occurred around 12:30 am from a storage area within the temple premises, correlating with the annual Kaliyattam festival at Anjootambalam Veerarkavu Temple. Emergency response teams quickly tended to the wounded, now receiving medical attention in various hospitals.
