J P Nadda Highlights Government's Commitment to Strengthen Healthcare System

Union Health Minister J P Nadda, on the occasion of the 53rd Foundation Day celebrations and Convocation of the University College of Medical Sciences, reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening India's healthcare system and broadening the reach of medical services across the nation.
Highlighting the achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration, Nadda noted the increase of AIIMS institutions from six to 22, as well as the rise in medical colleges from 387 to 766 over a decade. He praised the 2017 National Health Policy for its comprehensive approach to healthcare, ensuring a blend of preventive and curative measures.
Nadda also celebrated the third anniversary of the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM). He emphasized the initiative's role in enhancing healthcare infrastructure, including filling critical gaps, strengthening public health, and preparing for future health crises with a significant budget outlay.
