The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is offering a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol Bishnoi has been named in two chargesheets following NIA investigations in 2022. His involvement came under scrutiny amid Mumbai's ongoing inquiries into associations with a political party.

Anmol is also wanted for a shooting incident that took place outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence earlier this year. The NIA's offer aims to spur the public into action by providing leads on his whereabouts, as officials continue their crackdown on those involved in organized crime. Authorities emphasize that capturing Anmol could unravel key insights into wider criminal networks, underlining the importance of public cooperation.

This initiative follows a significant NIA crackdown, nearly nine months after law enforcement seized illegal arms, ammunition, and other contraband during raids across 32 locations in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Chandigarh. Among the seized items during these removals were pistols, magazines, cash, and crucial documents. The raids targeted the Lawrence Bishnoi Crime Syndicate and other terror-gangster networks, including the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).

Such raids were conducted in response to activities involving arms smuggling and acts of terrorism carried out by these syndicates, which also include the infamous murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The agency's efforts seek to dismantle these networks to ensure national safety and security, calling for public assistance in capturing those like Anmol Bishnoi who perpetuate such crimes.
