In anticipation of Cyclone Dana's landfall on October 25, Odisha's Bhadrak district administration has initiated evacuations, moving residents to cyclone shelters. Bhadrak Collector Dilip Routrai confirmed that police have assisted in relocating those hesitant to leave their homes, while others have voluntarily sought safety.
The district has mobilized 3 NDRF teams, with one stationed at the headquarters and two in the field, alongside 2 ODRF teams and 4 Fire Department teams, as confirmed by officials. Due to the cyclone threat, fishing activities are suspended until October 26, with 911 registered boats secured at landing centers.
Dhamra Port has ceased all operations, evacuating its workforce and following a standard operating procedure to prepare for the cyclone's impact on October 25. Odisha Fire Services have deployed 182 teams across 14 districts, while flight operations in Bhubaneswar are suspended for 17 hours from October 24 to 25 due to adverse weather predictions.
