The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD) has embarked on a series of strategic alliances aimed at bolstering the welfare of individuals with disabilities. These partnerships align with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's mission to support the Divyangjan community.

Based in Dehradun, NIEPVD has inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with notable institutions such as the Uttarakhand Open University and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology. Collaborations extend to organizations like Max Hospital and Pratham, focusing on emerging technologies and educational support.

Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, expressed optimism about these partnerships, noting that the resulting benefits will soon manifest in the lives of disabled individuals across the nation.
