Pune Police have apprehended 21 Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in the Ranjangaon area using counterfeit identification documents such as Aadhar and PAN cards. The group comprises 15 men, 4 women, and 2 transgender individuals, according to the latest reports from police officials.

Following a valuable tip-off on October 21, a police operation spearheaded by Crime Branch Inspector Avinash Shilimkar and Ranjangaon MIDC Police Inspector Mahadev Waghmode resulted in this significant arrest. The court has granted police custody of ten individuals involved in the case, as confirmed by Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh.

Authorities are delving into whether an organized network is responsible for their illegal entry into India. The apprehended individuals are allegedly engaged in labor activities in the area, and investigations continue to ascertain the full extent of their operations as police examine the seized fake identity documents.
